Home > Hampers from Yorkshire Yorkshire. Englands largest county split into three Ridings. Ridings are huge areas set in times long past. However each Riding has very different characters. The North Riding is very green and beautiful and includes one of the two most productive areas in England, the Vale of Pickering just north of York. and south of the North York Moors and a coastline including Saltburn, Runswick & Whitby. The East Riding includes Scarborough, Filey and points south while the West riding which reaches the Yorkshire Dales including Nidderdale, Wensleydale and Wharfedale to name just a few. History, Horse racing and quality food production goes right back to the time of fabulous abbeys and castles of the early middle ages. Yorkshire has some of the greatest names in English food production and we have included this category because of that quality.
