Bourgogne Wine Pinot Noir & Chardonnay Gift
The Bourgogne/Burgundy region of France. South of Paris, between Dijon and Lyon, is Burgundy wine region. Burgundy wines are of a velvety and subtle red or the best of sensual and characteristic white wines. The region produces two of the most popular wines in France: Beaujolais and Chablis. Burgundy is a region with various soils, divided in numerous districts: Chablis, C'te d'Or (divided in C'te de Nuits and C'te de Beaune), C'te Chalonnaise, M'connais and Beaujolais. The main grapes in Burgundy are Pinot Noir for red wine and Chardonnay for white wine. This is where this delightful gift takes its provenance. The two wine complement each other. The first is the Bourgogne Pinot Noir historically the most important grape of the region. This wine is a medium to light ruby wine, attractive with hints of cherry rhubarb and ripe tomato. Aromas of green tea, perfume, smoke, oak, leather, cinnamon and spice. A very well balanced wine of medium tannins with a long finish. The second bottle is the Chardonnay. Chardonnay has an aroma which is distinct, yet delicate, full of character. It has tones of apples, lemons, peaches and tropical fruit. Its delicacy denotes the purity of the single grape this delicacy also allows Chardonnay to absorb the influences of soils, airs and that of the wine maker. In the Chablis region of France, it is the only grape permitted grown and creates those beloved crisp, flinty wines. In the Meursault appellation, Chardonnay has that, ripe lushness, buttery quality. Well produced and finely made Chardonnays have an impeccable sugar to acid balance, creating a full body, and excellent smoothness. An excellent wine gift
