In the far North of Scotland, beside the ancient Royal Burgh of Tarn lies the Glenmorangie Distillery Established in 1843, Glenmorangie is still to this day perfected by the Sixteen Men of Tain. In the Gaelic language Glenmorangie means Valley of Tranquillity perfectly describing the distillery’s peaceful setting on the banks of the picturesque Dornaoch Firth. The Rare finesse of this whisky comes from the finest golden barley and the mineral rich water from Glenmorangie Distillery’s own Tarlogie springs come together in the tallest whisky stills in Scotland to produce a spirit of rare finesse and delicacy. The whisky is then extra matured through the Glenmorangie pioneering research into the effect of wood selection and whisky maturation. This process is exemplified by The Lasanta where mature Glenmorangie is transferred from the original bourbon casks and then extra matured or finished in top grade Spanish Sherry casks. The resultant seductive complexity explained in the Gaelic Lasanta means warmth and passion. Glenmorangie Lasanta is a tantalising marriage of warm creamy nutty flavours. Importantly The Lasanta is non chill-filtered and bottled at a full strength of 46%. This imparts added body, taste and texture to the spirit.
