Delivery Information and current charges..
The basic same day and next day postal(courier) and packaging charge for deliveries to most areas of mainland UK is £7.95 (inclusive of VAT at the standard rate)
Normal delivery days are Monday to Friday inclusive.
The £7.95 charge is for all consignments up to 10 Kg (22lbs)
Consignments over 10 Kg are charged at the standard £7.95 plus 25 pence per kilo thereafter.
The Satuday Morning Delivery Option(unless otherwise specified) is £18.95 up to 10Kg
Delivery to certain UK Mainland postcodes can take two/three working days.
These postcode areas are
IV1-63, - Inverness and environs,
KW1-17, - Northern Highlands.
AB31,33-38, 44-45, 51-56 - Aberdeenshire and environs; however the city of Aberdeen is next day delivery, PM only.
Orkney Offshore KW15-17
KA27-KA28 Rural Ayrshire & Isle of Arran
ZE1-3 Shetland
PH 19-26, 30-44, 49-50,- and environs; however,the City of Perth, immediate suburbs and southern Perthshire are next day, PM delivery.
FK17-31, North of Perth, is two/three day delivery weather permitting and delivered via the Highlands Depot
PA38, 41-49,69-70- Rural Argyll and Bute Scottish Couriers have flexible delivery fees in the Scottish Highlands which range from £12.95 to £15.95. It is therefore advisable to contact the Gifting Direct Contact Centre to ascertain the correct fee for the designated delivery postcode.
Certain Scottish areas on the western edge of the mainland are extremely remote, which means courier vehicles are only viable to enter once or twice a week. Any order placed for these remote areas must have a telephone number provided with the order and the recipient must be told of the impending delivery. The courier may call ahead to locate premises and ascertain weather and local information. It is strongly advised not to send highly perishable items such as cut flowers to these locations. All items sent are the sole responsibility of the sender and not the company or the courier service.
Gifting Direct does not make offshore deliveries without prior agreement. All islands off the coast of Mainland UK where a delivery is to be made over water by ferry, or by air, including, All Scottish Islands, Isle of Man, Northern Ireland or Republic of Eire, Isle of Wight and The Channel Isles, must be agreed with the sales office by telephone both to arrange cost and available delivery date. Ferry and delivery costs to off-shore islands begin at £20 per order up to 10 kilo. Delivery takes a minimum of two days.
Bank Holidays
Gifting Direct does not deliver on nationally designated holidays, bank holidays or the day immediately after a bank holiday or any day designated as a bank holiday or any day immediately thereafter.
Peak Periods
It is always advisable to book gifts and delivery early for peak periods and while stocks last.
It is advisable to send consignments early for seasonal events as contact centres and courier services are busy in the immediate period prior to peak trading.
Overseas & International Delivery.
It is always advisable to call the International order telephone number +(44) 0208 328 1144 when wishing to send and or deliver any gift to Eire, Europe, and, or the rest of the world, as there are obvious greater charges, weight restrictions and longer deliver times involved.
It is incumbant upon the sender of any order that they should provide correct information and a valid telephone number for the recipient.

Zone 1 includes. Belgium, France, Monaco, Germany, Luxemberg, Netherlands, Eire as Republic of Ireland, Charges for Zone 1, Two-Three day delivery £20.00
Zone 2 includes Austria, Denmark, Liechtenstein, Switzerland is not included. Charges Zone 2, Two-Three day delivery £22.00.
Zone 3 includes, Czech Republic, Italy, Slovakia, Spain, Two-Three day delivery £23.95,
Zone 4 includes, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Sweden. Three-Four Day delivery, £25.95.
Zone 5 includes Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro, Norway, Romainia, Serbia, Three-Four Day delivery £ £40.00.
Zone 6 & 7 by air and the rest of the world £50.00 plus. Some countries require a Customs Clearance Charge ( not in Europe with the exception of Switzerland) in advance of shipping which can be from £25 to £105 for Russia in Zone 7.

Next working day delivery is available on orders when set for processing at Gifting Direct by 12.00 Noon on previous working day.
Our carriers consider "working days” to be Monday to Friday only
Next working day delivery are not a guaranteed but rather a best practice service and the couriers notifyies senders that there should be, as in all things requiring third party participation a consideration of possible delay because of change in circumstance, unusual circumstance through procedure and or Force Majeure.
Deliveries are normally made between the hours of 9am and 5.30pm, although during busy periods these times may alter.
We deliver to Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, Scottish Isles, Isle of Wight & Channel Islands on a two working day basis, but extra cost does apply (see delivery costs as set out in main text)
We deliver to Europe, see cost and time requirements as set out in main text.
We do offer Saturday morning deliveries and time specific deliveries to most areas, but surcharges do apply (see delivery costs set out in main text )
We do not deliver on Sundays or Bank Holidays
We do not offer a same day delivery service
We do not guarantee nor accept delivery times. However Pre-Noon deliveries are available.
You can select any future working day (usually up to 10 months in advance.
To ensure smooth delivery
We strongly advise all customers to consider carefully where the goods are to be delivered.
Our carriers need a signature for the delivery, so please send the goods to an address where somebody can sign for them.
Use a work address for delivery if a residential delivery could be difficult.
To ensure that we offer the highest level of Courier service to our clients, it is important that you provide us with complete delivery details (full name, address including post code, & contact telephone number)
You can leave an instruction at the time of ordering for parcels to be left with a neighbour (please use the Comments box on the order form) You can also request that the parcel be left safe without a signature (e.g. in the porch, at the back door, in the garage, etc). However, this is at your own risk and neither we nor our carriers will accept responsibility should the gift be lost, stolen, or damaged as a result of such instructions being followed.
If you are sending a gift to somebody else, please check their availability (i.e. that they are not on holiday or away from home)
If your the delivery is missed by the recipient, they should contact the local depot as set out on the “We called today” card. The courier will then rearrange a delivery.
Upon delivery, customers are requested to examine all goods and note down any damage or shortages. Please then notify us within 24 hours.
Gifting Direct through the courier will make every effort to deliver your gift safely. Your assistance is intrinsic in achieving this requirement.
We do not deliver to PO Boxes or BFPO addresses.
Delivery details and re-direction costs
Our courier company attempts delivery twice if necessary and leaves a contact card if the recipient is not in. If the recipient does not then call their local depot, the parcel may be returned to us after 3 working days - the cost of which will be passed on to the customer/sender.
Gifting Direct cannot be held responsible for incorrect addresses and postcodes given to us. If you provide a wrong address or post code and we have to redirect your parcel to an alternative address, then we will charge a £14.95 redirection fee to your credit card.
If you wish a parcel to be re-directed to a new address after we have dispatched it from our warehouse, then we try to get that address changed before the item is sent out from the Gifting Direct dispatching depot. If the consignment gift has to be re-directed to a different local courier depot this will incur a £14.95 redirection fee to your credit card.
Saturday and Time Specific Deliveries and Bank Holidays.
Saturday deliveries must be specifically requested on the checkout page and cost £19.95 This is a Saturday morning service only. Please note that in some areas this service does not operate (Scottish Highlands or Islands, Isle of Man. Channel Isles, Isle of Wight).
Pre 12 o’clock deliveries (Monday to Friday only) must be specifically requested on the checkout page and cost £14.95.
Deliveries to Northern Ireland, Isle of Man and Scottish Islands, Isle of Wight & Channel Isles. These are made on a Two working day basis (Monday to Friday) and incur a £10 “over water” surcharge. The total delivery cost is £18.50
We do not deliver on Bank Holidays, nor are we able to despatch goods ofor deliveries on the day after a Bank Holiday as our warehouse is closed.

Sending deliveries to alternative addresses. We are happy to send your order to a work address or to a third party address if you are sending a gift to someone else.
Damaged or faulty goods / the replacement / refund procedure. If the parcel is damaged, the recipient should refuse to sign for it. The parcel will be returned to us.
If the consignment is accepted, please ensure when signing, the damage is listed.
Customers should examine all goods at the time of delivery, Noting down any damage on the carrier’s delivery note when signing.
Claims for breakages or shortage must be made by telephone to ourselves on Freephone 0808 180 5000 within 24 hours of delivery or confirm the claim by email to contact.centre@giftingdirect.co.uk
Claims for breakage, shortage or non-delivery cannot be considered unless these conditions are observed.
We will fully investigate all claims and replace or refund where necessary within 7 working days of notification.
